On the 6th Day of Blogmas: 12 Word Stories

Hey there!

So for the 6th day of blogmas my true love gave to me: 12 word stories!

The idea between 12 word stories is that the 12 words give you enough detail to tell you the basics of a story, and you use your imagination to come up with the rest. They are actually really fun to come up with. Add some of yours in the comments!

12 Word Stories

I’d wished whoever broke your heart couldn’t sleep, and I was restless.

It was love at first sight, the love that made me blind.

My very first mistake was bringing a knife to a gun fight.

I loved you with my everything. You left, and I faded away.

I broke into pieces, but all my jagged pieces fell into place.

There’s nothing in life that can’t be solved with chocolate and books.

You didn’t listen when I warned you to stay away from me.

Why is breakfast food confined to mornings? I want pancakes at midnight.

For you, I was a chapter; for me, you were the book.

My heart screamed, “yes,” while my mind yelled, “no.” Both were me.

I set myself free and today I finally know who I am.

“It’s no surprise I turned you in, ’cause us traitors never win.”

For sale or rent: a heart. In perfect condition. Barely even used.

The future before me is unknown and I’m learning to be content.

My blood ran as red as the lipstick marks on your face.

“All it takes is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust.”

If you want a happy ending, do not read the last page.

“X marks the spot where we fell apart. Every man for himself.

Please don’t ever become a stranger whose laugh I could recognize anywhere.”
